Renowned for its famous black olives,
the small town of Nyons also deserves to be for its rich patrimoine.Envahie by the Germans in the 5th century by the Saracens in the 10th ... stronghold of the princes of Orange, owned by the crown of France in the 14th century, Nyons has a long history behind it, we can still admire today in its vaulted stone Romanesque bridge spanning a river gray or green Randonne tower surmounted by a Virgin, two " curiosities "local classified historic monument.
Lying on the banks of the Eygues, sheltered from the wind, Nyons emerges from afar a beautiful harmony, and appears, when viewed up close, like a big typical Provencal village, with its huge square with plane trees and its sidewalk cafes, pleasant though a bit noisy.
